Coaching addresses five barrier areas, in plain language: getting started and staying on track (motivation, focus, routines, planning and time awareness); anxiety, stress and emotional load (including fatigue and burnout); belonging, isolation and social confidence (making and keeping friends, reading social situations); confidence, voice and self-advocacy (speaking up, asking for help, recovering trust after bad service experiences); and independence and daily living (including travel and community access). The model includes autism- and ADHD-specific barriers like time blindness, hyperfocus burnout and rejection sensitivity.
