Skills are tracked across ten categories: community access and independence; confidence and motivation; voice and self-advocacy; daily routines and getting things done; emotions, stress and regulation; focus, attention and follow-through; health, wellbeing and self-care; organisation, tools and memory supports; planning, goals and motivation; and work, study and future pathways. The highest-impact skills in the model - the ones that unlock the most barriers - include routine building, coping strategies and optimism, self-advocacy, self-discipline and accountability, flexible thinking, stress management, organisational tools and problem-solving.
